2 X ATI Radeon HD6970 khash / MSI afterburner help

edited December 2013 in Hardware support

I need some help to get to 900-1000 khash for Litecoin without damaging my system and without making a huge noise.

Asrock / 970 Pro3 R2.0 970 PRO3 R2.0
AMD / Sempron 145 SDX145HBGMBOX

Crucial / 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 UDIMM CT51264BA160BJ
Corsair / CX 750M CP-9020061-EU
2 X ATI Radeon HD 6970

Currently I get between 650-900 khash using these setting in MSI Afterburner while I mine with Bfgminer:

Core Voltage 1075
Power Limit +20%
Core Clock 785
Memory Clock 1171
Fan Speed 39

Don't know if this is good, or it could be improved or its risky for the system.

Any suggestions are welcomed?

  • Download and install MSI Kombustor (if you haven't already) and click on the "K" on the top left of Afterburner.  This will launch Kombustor and stress test your GPU with your currently applied clock speeds in Afterburner.  Doing this will show you whether or not artifacts (graphical anomalies) are present, and if not you can continue to increase clock speeds to reach your goal.

I'm not familiar with BFGminer, but if there's any way to tweak it like cgminer you may want to pump up the intensity and other values to maximize hash rate.
