New block found not showing up in pool.

edited November 2013 in Feathercoin

Hi all,

I just started mining FTC today. Kept seeing 'Found block for pool 0!' and then Accepted ... BLOCK! GPU 0 (and/or 1) but these supposed blocks that i found aren't showing up in the Block Stats page. Can someone tell me wot is going on?

Best,
Shawn

This is the same for me (except with Litecoins).

  • same here. LTC

  • same here, I've been mining FTC for a month or so, all the time my cgminer window says 'Found block for pool 0!'  and then in the next line my accepted shares. I've never seen my miner's name in block stats.
    This is my config:
     cgminer --scrypt -o http://ltc.give-me-coins.com:3336 -u xxx -p xxx -w 256 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 12200,6016 --intensity 13,18

  • Found this in the upstream cgminer changelog:

    Version 3.9.0 - 23rd December 2013
    - Check all results against all work instead of just taking the first match
(avoids some rejected submissions to the pool, ASIC can produce multiple
    candidate results.)

There were also some changes in block detection in 3.7.0 & 3.7.2.

The changes in cgminer during the 3.8.x versions made some pretty fundamental changes to the software model and workflow.  It's not easy to trace back to determine if the problem was introduced since 3.7.2.  I get the feeling that it may have been a 3.7.x bug that wasn't fully tested before the GPU was abandoned.

Was anyone using anything other than cgminer when this happened?
